Best for: An off-grid coastal stay with a brilliant al-fresco, wood-fired, outdoor bath (dog friendly)
Just 20 minutes from Oban but feeling much further removed, Na Mara Bothy is a reimagined croft set right beside its own small stretch of beach.
With no electricity and no Wi-Fi, it’s designed for a proper digital switch-off.
Lit by lanterns and heated by a wood-burning stove, the bothy has an open plan layout downstairs and a snug bedroom tucked up in the eaves.

Lanrick’s five eco-treehouses each come with an outdoor bath on a treetop terrace.
