My favourite part? This modern treehouse features a large outdoor bath on the deck, ideal for long soaks surrounded by the treetops.

Inside, the open-plan kitchen and living area comes with a wood-burning stove, big windows and everything you need for a cosy weekend away.

2. Na Mara Bothy, near Oban

Just 20 minutes from Oban but feeling much further removed, Na Mara Bothy is a reimagined croft set right beside its own small stretch of beach.

With no electricity and no Wi-Fi, it’s designed for a proper digital switch-off.

Lit by lanterns and heated by a wood-burning stove, the bothy has an open plan layout downstairs and a snug bedroom tucked up in the eaves.

Mount Freedom’s pioneer-style log cabins overlook the Firth of Clyde and the mighty Ailsa Craig.
